About Maple: Maple is a Canadian software package for doing mathematics. The Maple project started at the University of Waterloo in late 1980. Maple is now sold by Maplesoft, a Canadian division of Cybernet Systems Inc. Maplesoft personnel and researchers at various universities are continuing to develop and improve Maple. There is a new version of Maple every year.
About the Instructor: Michael Monagan is a professor of the mathematics at Simon Fraser University. He is one of the original developers of Maple. He wrote the original software for visualizing Linear Algebra, phase portrait plots, and Graph Theory graphs. He uses Maple in his teaching. His favourite course to teach is Linear Algebra.
